He was predeceased by: his parents, George Benjamin Carper and Martha Anne Stauffer; and his former wife Delores Bornhoft. He is survived by: his sister Eileen; his children, Tim Carper (Arlene), Gary Carper (Paula) and Kelly Carper; his grandchildren, Laura Carper, Phawn Houghtelling (Coltin), Kyle Carper (Erin) and Doug Carper (Elizabeth); his great grandchildren, Camden, Cole, Phallan and Rylan; his sisters, Rachel Einspahr (Vern) and Carole Smith; his sister-in-law Janice Bornhoft; his in-laws, August and Elizabeth Bornhoft; his brother Lavelle; his siblings-in-law, Henry McClure, Frank Lowe, Keith Smith, William Gilreath, Melvin Bornhoft, Harold Bornhoft, Louis Bornhoft, Don Bornhoft, Mildred Gilreath, Dee Bornhoft, Francis Bornhoft and Tally Bornhoft; and his wife Jean Widgery (Lila Ditter).
