With solemn reverence, we commemorate Iris Parker of Sterling, Colorado, whose life came to an end on August 15, 2024 at the age of 95, leaving behind cherished memories. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, John H. May and Elsie May (Poulter); her grandfather Poulter; her husband Ray G. Parker, Jr.; her siblings, Ralph E. May, Charles May (Dorothy), Earl May (Helen), Alice Vawter (Jim) and Rosalie Pittman; her sisters-in-law, Ruth Hobbs (Eldon) and Jennie Black (Quinn); her nieces and nephews, Harold Black, Keith Black, Allan Hobbs, Larry Hobbs, John Arnold, Mary Hobbs, Steve May and Charlie May; her close friend Carl Chapin; and her son-in-law Jack Childs.
She is survived by: her sister Lois; her children, Jerry Parker (Kathy) of Novato, CA, Jim Parker (Faunie) of Lakewood, CO, Julie Sonnenberg (Sam) of Sterling, CO and Jan Joslen (Bob) of Colorado Springs, CO; her grandchild Ryan Parker (Stephanie); her children, Chris Parker, Jeff Parker (Katie), Jared Sonnenberg (Rita), Jordan Sonnenberg (Cassie), Noelle Corman (Derek), Aaron Parker and Ashley Parker; her great grandchild Kennedy Iris Parker; her grandchildren, Cooper Parker, Camden Parker, Reece Reyes-Sonnenberg, Paige Holtz (Zach), Ellee Sonnenberg, Colt, Jace, Cash, Ryker Corman, Ava, Jazlyn Parker, Devynne and Savannah Pack; and her great great grandchild Sawyer Holtz. She is also survived by grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, the family is suggesting donations be made to Hospice of the Plains, First Christian Church, or the LeRoy Community Church in care of Tennant Funeral Home.
