She was predeceased by: her parents, Glenn Hixon and Maxine Hixon (Miller); her husband Gary Castle; and her siblings, Leonard Hixon (Keran) and Sandra Colloton (Michael).
She is survived by: her children, Gay Leigh (Mark Tracy), Gary (Charla Matthews) and Gina (Dan Robbins); her siblings, Yvonne Clark (Marlin) and Jim Hixon (Barbara); and her sister-in-law Sharon Beers. She is also survived by 8 grandchildren; 23 great-grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Wednesday, March 19th 2025 from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM at the Chaney-Reager Funeral Home and Crematory (443 S 2nd St, Sterling, CO 80751). A funeral service was held on Thursday, March 20th 2025 at 10:30 AM at the Berean Church (12527 Co Rd 37, Sterling, CO 80751). A burial was held on Thursday, March 20th 2025 at 1:30 PM at the Chappell Cemetery (582 2nd St, Chappell, NE 69129).
