He was predeceased by: his parents, John Gertner and Anna Gertner (Ertle); his wife Barbara Kaiser; his son Kelly; his siblings, Donnie, Dave, Mark, John, Anna Bretz and Virginia Amerin; and his daughter-in-law Vicki Gertner.
He is survived by: his children, Michael (Darla), Robert (Deb), Linda Skeen (John), Jim (Shari), Williams (Karin) and Rose McDonald (Mark); his grandchildren, Chris (Anna), Rachal (Alex), Ben Skeen, Shane (Kelsey), Kyle Gertner, Ryan Gertner (Sara), Derek Gertner, Joe, Nate, Jon Gertner, Kelly and Anna McDonald; his siblings, Clarence (Dorothy), Lawrence (Janae), Clara, Margaret and Leonette; and his parents-in-law, Gloria, Adrien Kaiser, John Santomaso, Marge Zink and Ralph Amerin. He is also survived by 9 great-grandchildren.
