He was predeceased by: his parents, Fred Sr. Campbell and Myrtle Campbell (Thurman); and his sister Ruby Anderson. He is survived by: his wife Alvera Schroeder; his children, Bruce Campbell (Sheri) of Fort Collins and Jeri Howard (John) of Boulder; his grandchildren, Jason Campbell, Curtis Campbell (Sarah) of Fort Collins, Jeremy Felix (Katie) of Frederick, Danielle Lynn of Lyons and Bryce Howard of Longmont; his great grandchildren, Anna Campbell, Ian Campbell, Soren Campbell, Emilie Campbell, Gavin Lynn, Elsie Lynn, Brody Felix and Connor Felix; and his sister Clarice Jones of Fort Collins.
