It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Emma Mathewson (Sterling, Colorado), born in La Junta, Colorado, who passed away on December 11, 2020, at the age of 88, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Henry Peter Haupt and Katherine Marie Haupt (Eirich); her husband Max Mathewson; her siblings, Albert Haupt (Phyllis), Marie Kurz (Carl), Lydia Flohr (Fred), Martha Meyer (Edwin) and Dena Staible (Ed); and also Baby Emma Mathewson.
She is survived by: her brothers, Edward Haupt (Beverly) of Omaha, NE and Gerald Haupt (Glea) of Sidney, NE; and her children, Tonie Yetter (Ron) of Fort Morgan, CO, Wendy Mathewson of Littleton, CO, Steven Mathewson (Ella Mae), Gail Dick (Marty) of De Soto, KS, Daniel Mathewson of Sterling, CO and Amber Mathewson of Sahuarita, AZ. She is also survived by 18 grandchildren children, 25 great-grandchildren, two great-great-grandchildren as well as 5 step grand-children and 10 step great-grandchildren and 4 step great-great-grandchildren.
