He was predeceased by: his parents, Santana Ramos and Antonia Ramos; his former wife Mary F. Ramos; his wife Lydia Ramos; his son Mike Montano; his sister Selsa Benitez; his grandchildren, Jason Zaldivar and Shantel Grauberger; and his great grandchild Aaliyah Tiller.
He is survived by: his former wife Mary F. Montano; his children, Virgil Ramos of Maui, HI, Sandra Gardner (Bob) of Sterling, CO, Ramona Smith (Steve) of Scottsdale, AZ, Toni Ramirez of Victorville, CA, Alfred Montano of Longmont, CO, Richard Montano (Charlotte) of Aurora, CO, Gloria Ramos of Denver, CO, Chris Montano (Dawn) of Long Beach, MS and Efrain Ramos Jr. (Shari) of Longmont, CO; his brother Gerardo Benitez (Millie) of Queens, NY.; and his grandchildren, Virgil Ramos Jr., Tanya Rodwell, Michaela Ramos, Drew Donovan, Adam Gardner, Nicole Zaldivar, Peter Ruiz, Inez Manzanares, Anthony Ramirez, Candida Diaz, Jennifer Montano, Andrea, Alfred Jr., Andrew, Dakota, Ryder Montano, Yvonne Tiller, Michael Ramos, Vanessa Jackson, Josh Montano, Amanda Senna, Matthew, Myles, Madeline Rose Ramos, Jacob and Hanna Grauberger. He is also survived by 40 great-grandchildren and 1 great- great grandchild.
