We are sad to announce that on June 4, 2022, at the age of 33, Denise Dennington-Calkins of Sterling, Colorado, born in Denver, Colorado passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her grandparents, Kenneth, Lillian Johnson and Donald Dennington; and her pet Goobie. She is survived by: her parents, Gregg Dennington and LeeAnn Dennington; her husband Wallace "Acie" Calkins; her brother Derek; her sister-in-law Shannon Dennington; her nieces and nephews, Dillon and Aubrey; her grandmother Maxine Dennington; her uncles, Kirk Johnson (Diane) and Kent Dennington; her aunt Brenda Desormeaux (Ted); her parents-in-law, Jim Flesner (Tammy) and Sheryl Calkins; her sisters-in-law, Jimi and Sierra; her close friends, Brenda Johnson-Weems and Michelle Stultz; and her pets, Ethel and Lucy.
On April 17, 2020, she and Wallace "Acie" Calkins were married in her parents backyard following strict covid restrictions.
