Angela Jean Whitman Obituary
Angela Jean Whitman, 44 of Sterling passed away unexpectedly on Sunday, December 11, 2022. A celebration of Angela's life will be held at a later date.
Angela was born January 15, 1978, in Scottsbluff, Nebraska to Brad and Wanda (Gross) Whitman. The family moved to Sterling when she was 9 months old, and she attended Sterling schools. She was very active in sports, softball, volleyball, and basketball. When she was a senior in high school, she was able to carry and run with the Olympic torch with Mr. Gertner. After graduation, Angela worked at the 7-11 and put herself through college and graduated from NJC as a Licensed Practical Nurse. She moved to Denver and graduated as a Registered Nurse.
She was a traveling nurse and loved delivering babies and she was very good at it. She worked hard and played even harder. Angela enjoyed crafts and making all kinds of things, baking cakes, going on cruise ships and anywhere on the water. She also enjoyed listening to music, dancing, and all sports.
She is preceded in death by her father Bradley Gene Whitman, grandfather Edward Whitman, grandmother Julia Gross, uncles Wind Gross, Mike Gross, Donnie Gross, and Rocky Whitman; aunts Wilma Gross and Shellie Whitman; cousins Devon Whitman and Shawn Whitman and nephew Dylan Hathaway.
Angela is survived by her son Jaxson Spencer Whitman, who was the love of her life; mother Wanda J. Whitman; stepdad Chuck Whitman; brother Brad (Jill) Whitman, sister Jennifer (Roy) Hathaway, nephews Mike (Shea) Whitman, Bradley G. Whitman and Evan Whitman; niece Haven Whitman; uncles Walter Gross, Stan (Deann) Whitman, Danny Whitman and Troy (Teresa) Whitman; aunts Tammy (Bill) Laulback and Helen Gross; numerous other nieces and nephews and her furry friend Theodore, they were together all the time.
