He was predeceased by: his parents, Harry Higel and Lola Higel; his sister Joyce Hillman; and his brother-in-law Kenneth Hillman (Sally Higel). He is survived by: his former wife Sally Ione Dutcher; his children, Paul Allen Higel (Shawna) and Beth Ann Higel (Moore); his wife Betty Higel; his daughter Teri Gable Jeffrey Rittenhouse (Darrell); his grandchildren, Nichole Higel, Christian Hanson, Lily Moore, Laura Clark of Janna Gablehouse, J. T, Bobby Rittenhouse and Amanda Rittenhouse; and his close friend Haylee Baer (Tom).
