He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Joseph Darcy and Ruby Darcy (Blackstock); his wife Mary Cecil Brewer of Louisville, KY; his sons, Bruce, Raleigh and Fred; and his siblings, Jo Darcy, Kathie Lucas (Bruce), Steve Darcy (Anne) and Karen Alymer (Paul). He was also cherished by many nephews and nieces.
