She is survived by: her parents, Thomas A. Silvis and Janet L. Silvis; her husband Richard H. Hanson; her children, Benjamin and Leam; and her sisters, Pamella and Jennifer.

In lieu of flowers, donations to the family can be made to the Katherine Hanson Memorial Fund or to Richard Hanson directly through PayPal. The Katherine Hanson Memorial Fund has been set up through Ent Federal Credit Union. This was decided since GoFundMe charges so much, we would rather Richard and the boys get all of it.
