He is survived by: his husband Guy Padgett of Tribune's Washington; his mother Denise Marsden Padgett; his sister Shawn VanHaelen; his nephews, Hunter VanHaelen and Fletcher VanHaelen; his niece Marley VanHaelen; his aunt Cheryl Marsden Beilke; his uncles, Terry Marsden and Mike Romsdahl; and his cousins, Kathie Nee, Jeremie Romsdahl and Ted McIntosh.
