Family and friends must say goodbye to their beloved Georgiana Smith of Salida, Colorado, born in Colorado Springs, Colorado, who passed away at the age of 94, on March 12, 2024. She was predeceased by: her husband Maurice; her parents, Anna Rieden and George Rieden; her brother Alfred; her sister-in-law Irene Rieden; her sister MaryAnn Shumate; her brother-in-law Tom Shumate; her nephew Tommy Shumate; her nieces, Vicki Rieden and Patty Powers; her niece-in-law Patsy Shumate; her great-niece Jeanette Powers; her nephew Loyal Mason; and also Justin Shumate.

She is survived by: her children, Maurine Smith (Lori Hitchcock), Laurine Smith (Tony Petree) and Michael Smith (Loni Sprulock); her stepgranddaughter Shelby Sharp (Josh); her nieces, Carrie McKinney, Anne Willie, Jane McCabe, Marcia Owens, Suzie Baker and Peggy Baldridge; her nephew Bill Shumate; and also, Kailee, Lexi and Danielle Petree (Sara Vail). She is also survived by cousins in Kansas City and by extended family in Detroit. And by many dear friends.
