He was predeceased by: his parents, Robert Edward and Irene Mabel Hinman (Dory). He is survived by: his wife Estrella F. Hinman (Rodriguez Vargas); his children, George Edward Hinman Jr. and Anne Marie Fontana (Hinman); his brother Patrick Joseph Hinman; and his grandsons, James John Fontana IV, Jakob Randlett Hinman, John Robert Fontana and Isaac Randlett Hinman.
