It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Arthur Dixon of Salida, Colorado, born in Dallas, Texas, who passed away on November 6, 2020, at the age of 79, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Alice (Lawton) and Arthur Herbert Dixon Sr.; his grandson Michael Dixon; and his stepson John Quick. He is survived by: his wife Terry Starr Quick; his children, Shane Dixon (Debbie) and Elisha Dixon; his stepdaughter Jodi Hyatt (Kevin); his sister Pam Dixon; his grandchildren, Nicole Kinyon, Charlie Hyatt and Jackson Hyatt; his great grandchild Elizabeth Kinyon; and also Jodi Hyatt.
Memorial services may be held later depending on COVID-19 restrictions.
I didn't much like school and went as little as I could but when I had Mr. Dixon for journalism I was there five days a week." Dixon was also instrumental in the foundation of the Upper Arkansas Water Conservancy District .
