He is survived by: his wife Dorinda; his children, Rebecca Mata of Cheraw and Marc Mitchell (Rose) of La Junta; his grandchildren, Aaron Mata of Cheraw, Wendy Mata of La Junta, Amy Mata of Apache Junction, AZ, Nickolas Mata of Cheraw, Kyla Mitchell of La Junta, Jessica Figueroa of La Junta, Christopher Figueroa of Pueblo and Kaylan Goodwin of Denver, CO; and his brother Donnie Deatherage.
