He was predeceased by: his parents, Toki Hirakata (Kumagai) and Keiji Hirakata. He is survived by: his spouse Sachiko "Susie" Hirakata (Harada); his children, Donna Nakagawa (Kirk Seville) of Highlands Ranch, CO and Glenn Hirakata (Carmen) of Rocky Ford, CO; his siblings, Tats Sato of Mitchell, NE and Jerre Hirakata (Betty) of Rocky Ford, CO.; his grandchildren, Tyler Tateyama (Natasha), Trey Tateyama (Jordan), Mitchell Nakagawa, Grant Nakagawa (Jamie), Kellie Hirakata and Kyle Hirakata; his great grandchildren, Calvin and Carter Tateyama; and his brother Franklin Hirakata.
