He was predeceased by: his parents, Federico Rivera and Manuelita Rivera; his wife Josie Rivera; and his siblings, John Rivera, Nasario Rivera, Leopoldo Rivera, Arturo Rivera, Mary Martinez and Angelina Gallegos.
He is survived by: his children, Lisa Rivera of Rocky Ford and Troy Rivera (Cody McIntosh) of Surprise, AZ; his grandsons, Kevin Rivera of Rocky Ford and John Phillip Jimenez Jr. (Jasmine Jimenez) of Rocky Ford; his great grandchildren, Nayeli, Jose and Sophia; his sister Cindy Medrano; and his pets, Memphis and Sable. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
A rosary was held on Wednesday, April 16th 2025 at 9:30 AM at the St. Peters Catholic Church (1209 Swink Ave, Rocky Ford, CO 81067). A funeral service was held on Wednesday, April 16th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the same location.
