David Youngblood Obituary
David Floyd Allen Youngblood, 80, of Rocky Ford, CO, passed away Tuesday, February 4th in Pueblo Colorado.
David was born in Rocky Ford, Colorado on January 9, 1940, a son of the late Edna Iva Allen (Mellon) and Floyd Clarence Youngblood
He graduated from Rocky Ford High School in 1958.
He was the husband of Darla J. (Jenkins) Youngblood. They were married on August 7, 1999, in Evergreen, CO.
David's career started in road construction and as a crane operator. He had a successful excavation business in Evergreen, CO before starting Ptarmigan Helicopters, where he received an International Pilot's award for Excellence in Mountain Flying. After his flying career, he started Titan Trucking, a heavy haul company, moving oversize loads. After retiring, David and Darla traveled the National Sporting Clays shooting circuit where he was a member of the All American Sporting Clays Team and competed in the Master Class.

David was preceded in death by his parents, wife Donna Youngblood
Memorial Service is scheduled for 11:00 a.m., Saturday, February 15, 2020, at The First Christian Church of La Junta. 109 West 5th Street, La Junta, CO 81050. Reception to follow in the Fellowship Hall, at the same location.
