He is survived by: his girlfriend Lydia Powers; his sons, Eddie Maes and Raymond Abeyta; his grandchildren, Edward A. Maes Jr., Anthony R. Maes, Julian Maes, Janelle Maes, Savana Maes, Azalea Maes and Gabriel Maes; and his siblings, Eleanor, Dorothy and Bob. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
