He was predeceased by: his parents, Harold Sowers and Frances Sowers; and his siblings, Jerry, Glen, Susie and Dorothy.
He is survived by: his children, James Sowers, Jack Sowers, Jr., Christina Krause, Dawn Doyle (Bernie) and Shiloh Mowen (Corey). He is also survived by 10 grandchildren, eight great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.
