She was predeceased by: her parents, Bonifacio Duran and Rosie Duran (Gomez); her son Melvin Gurule Jr.; and her brothers, William J. Duran Sr. and Kenneth L. Duran.

She is survived by: her daughter Rebecca Lorraine (Gurule) Montoya (Louie); her grandsons, Marcus J. Tallitsch of Denver and Aaron M. Montoya; and her great grandchild Apollo M. Montoya of Arvada. She is also survived by many nieces, nephews, great and great great nephews and nieces, cousins and dear friends.
