We bid farewell to Shirley Kathleen Horton of Pueblo, Colorado, whose journey of life gracefully concluded on January 30, 2025 at the age of 81. Shirley Kathleen touched countless lives with warmth and kindness, leaving behind cherished memories that will forever echo in hearts. She was predeceased by: her mother Myrtle Simms of Pueblo, CO.; her husband Ralph Dean Horton; her daughter Ruthie Michelle Horton; her father Robert J. Simms; her brother Robert J. Simms, Jr.; and her brother-in-law Dr. John McLaughlin.
She is survived by: her son R. Dean Horton II (Lisa) of Pueblo, CO; her grandchildren, Jonathan Dean Horton of Pueblo, CO, Nicole Hiratuka (Vinicius) of Madison, MS and Brandi Horton of Colorado City, CO; her great grandchildren, RJ, Hadley, Mason Day, Calvin, Casper Horton, Isabella and Sophia Hiratuka; her sister Ruth E. McLaughlin of Aurora, CO; her niece Kathy Ann McLaughlin of Aurora, CO; her nephew Dr. John McLaughlin (Ronette) of Aurora, CO; her sister-in-law Gaylene Simms of Yukon, Oklahoma; and her nieces, Julie Cantwell (Rich) of Denver, CO and Jill Simms of Denver, CO. She is also survived by great nieces and nephews and a large group of relatives.
