He was predeceased by: his parents, Buster Pottorff and Betty Grimes; and his sister Barbara Grimes. He is survived by: his wife Donna Pottorff; his children, Christopher Hammack (Karen), Chris Johnson, Jr. (Jasmine), Christina Johnson (Juan), Christal Johnson (Tony), Angel Pottorff (Justin) and Breanna Pottorff (Bryce); and his siblings, Jody Casebier and Marcellee Riedner (Keith). He is also survived by three stepsisters; fourteen grandchildren and eight bonus grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, family requests donations be made the "go fund me" established to help with funeral expenses.
