He was predeceased by: his parents, Joseph Santos Sr. and Lupe Gallegos Santos; his niece Sandy Garcia; his nephew Thomas Santos Jr.; and his sister-in-law Florence Santos.

He is survived by: his children, Michael Santos (Brenda) and Sherrie Santos; his grandson Cordero Santos (Jennifer); his great grandchild Cordero Santos Jr.; his siblings, Tom Santos and Mary Louise Santos Hodges (Terry); his girlfriend Nancy Smith; and his nieces, Kathy Palin (Ben), Laurie Bowman (Larry) and Alisa Sunar (Alper).
