Cynthia Ann Gazlay-Henze Obituary
Cynthia (Cindy) Ann Gazlay-Henze passed away unexpectedly on April 27, 2024, in her home in Pueblo, Colorado. Cindy was born to Clyde and Gilda Gazlay on September 9, 1950, in Ellenville, New York. She was the youngest of two children. Cindy grew up in Kerhonkson, New York with her older brother Alan and after high school graduation in 1968 she joined the family business, the Clyde H. Gazlay Corporation. She worked the front office taking care of the bookkeeping, billing, accounts payable, payroll, and keeping everyone in line. Cindy worked with her father, brother, and first husband Melvin Bockelmann at the Clyde H. Gazlay Corporation. She gave birth to two sons, Gregory and Garth Bockelmann and raised them in High Falls, New York and later in Accord, New York.
Cindy was an active member of the Rochester Reformed Church in Kerhonkson, New York. Cindy worked in the family electrical, heating, and plumbing business for over 23 years until the business was closed when Clyde retired. After that she moved to Kingston, New York with her second husband Russell Henze where she worked in a law office and then in the real estate industry. She also stayed very busy in her off time supporting the New York State School Music Association (NYSSMA). She loved to support the kids at festivals in high school across the state. In 2006 she and Russell moved to Collegeville, Pennsylvania where she worked in the developer and builder industry and then in the insurance industry, all while still supporting NYSSMA in her free time. Cindy retired from United States Liability Insurance Group in 2019 and moved out to Colorado in 2020 to be near her two sons, daughter-in-law Carmen (Gregory's wife), and two grandchildren, Jason and Nicholas Bockelmann.
