She was predeceased by: her brother Keith Valdez; her parents, Nazario Valdez and Ermelinda "Mille" Valdez; her father-in-law John "Chief" Velasquez; and her husband John Velasquez Jr..
She is survived by: her children, Shelley Cowger (Darrin) and John Velasquez III (Tammy); her grandchildren, Chas Krummel, Caylee Krummel, John Velasquez IV and Trista Velasquez; and her siblings, Joe Valdez, Floyd Valdez (Julie), Joyce Valdez (John Rivera), Michael Valdez (Betty Gonzalez), David Valdez (Carol), Terry Valdez, Beverly Cunningham (Mark), Molly Sanders (Rick), Matt Valdez (Denise) and Melanie Valdez.
In lieu of flowers the family requests donations be made to St. Paul the Apostle Church.
