He was predeceased by: his daughter Kristina Valdez; his parents, Juan Valdez and Juanita Valdez; and his in-laws, Henry and Abelina Martinez.
He is survived by: his wife Patricia Valdez; his children, Charles Jr. (Chuck), Sue Valdez, Evelyn, Seth Clayton, Isabella Montoya and Charly Wollaston; and his grandchildren, Chelsea, Candace, Kristina, Eric, Madelyn and Hannah. He is also survived by his wife, children, grandchildren, sisters and brothers.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Charles' name to the Pueblo YMCA where he changed countless lives as a longtime instructor of Taekwondo.
