He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Nathan Mellott and Mary Mellott; his wife Carol; his children, Tamara Shafer (Rich), Jon Sanders and Heather Lee (Derek); his nieces, Joni Hall, Juli Kirby and Jaci Mellott; his grandchildren, Maddie, Taci, Taegan, Chandler, Parker, Nikolas and Cienna; his great grandchild Ryatt; his brothers, Johnny, Darrel and Dewayne; and his son Rusty.
