She was predeceased by: her parents, Edwin C. Schmidt and Emma E. Schmidt (Prottengeier); her husband Carrol "Herb" Rhoades; and her brother Paul. She is survived by: her children, Giselle Smith (Gary), Valerie Rhoades, Rodney Rhoades (Monique), Lyla Aleman (Oscar) and Greeley; and her brother Harold Schmidt (Betty) of Denver, CO..
