He was predeceased by: his parents, Earl Hays and Miriam Hays (Speaker); and his siblings, John and Mariam Hays. He is survived by: his wife Marleen Hays; his children, Jethro Hays (Ashley), Uriah Hays, Zachary Hays, Mike Evans (Jen), Leah Conca (Sal), Babette Lester and Toni Johnson; and his brother Cary Hays (Joanie). He is also survived by 11 grandchildren and 1 great grandchild.
