He was predeceased by: his parents, Wallace Tibbitts and Gertrude Tibbitts; his wife Katherine; and his brothers, Clifford and Franklin Tibbitts.

He is survived by: his children, Dale Tibbitts (Jacqueline), Darlene Lampert (late Wolfgang) and Deborah Weigel (Jerry); his grandchildren, Sonja Engeledowl (Lewis), Tiffany Bui (Khanh), Mikaela Weigel and Mackenzie Duran (David); and his great grandchild Landus Engeledowl.
