We are sad to announce that on May 12, 2023, at the age of 83, Michael A Melchior of Penrose, Colorado passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Joseph Melchior and Rosa Melchior (Byrne); and his siblings, Pete, Rosie Simons, David, Raymond and Joe.

He is survived by: his wife Karla Shafer; his children, Mike Melchior and Michelle (Melchior); his sisters, Velma and Margaret; and his grandchildren, Ashley, Kimberly, Alicia, Morgan, Jordon, Kayla, Torie Jo, Nichole, Bryon and Jaxson.

“I just found out about cousin Mike's passing last night 6-22-2023. I just got home from Colorado. For the few days I was there, I kept thinking about going by to visit Mike and Karla in Penrose, but never did make it over there. I am so sorry that I didn't. Just know that you all are in my thoughts. So many have preceded him, including my own father, Bill Stevenson, and my dads sister, Pat Stanley who just passed away in February. I am sure they are all having a big family reunion.”
