He was predeceased by: his parents, Paul Schmidt and Rachel Schmidt; and his son Gary Schmidt. He is survived by: his wife Linda; and his sister Wilma Tallon. He is also survived by children from a first marriage, Eddie Schmidt, Barry Schmidt, Sherry Decker, and Debbie Smith; as well as numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren.
