He was predeceased by: his parents, Ora Whitlock and Flossie Whitlock; his wife Marilyn Whitlock (Pace); his son Scott Whitlock; and his siblings, Clarence, Archie, Kenneth, Keith, James, Dorothy and Robert.

He is survived by: his son Dennis Whitlock (Susan); his grandson Tristan Whitlock (Elizabeth); his great grandchildren, Thane, Amaris and Elijah; his grandson Jacob Whitlock of Colorado; his sister-in-law Marian Buzan of Barrignton; and his nieces and nephews, Rick Venuso (Joy) of Cary, Illinois., Sandy, Nancy, Roberta, Janet and Randy.
