He was predeceased by: his grandparents, Leona B. Sheldon, Charles F. Sheldon of Denver, CO and Donald E. Long of Arvada, CO.. He is survived by: his parents, William Sheldon (Bill) and Mary Sheldon (Long); his brother Zachary Sheldon of Parker; and his grandmother Beatrice M. Long of Arvada, CO. He is also survived by aunts, uncles and cousins.

In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations in Nicholas' memory be made to St. John's Military School Historical Museum,.
