With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Joel D. Melahn (Parker, Colorado), born in Algonquin, Illinois, who passed away on December 18, 2017 at the age of 51. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his father Arthur Melahn; and his brother Patrick Melahn. He is survived by: his wife Karen; his sons, Ryan and Nathan; his mother Marilyn Melahn; and his siblings, Peggy Vanderplow and Scott Melahn.

In lieu of flowers contributions for the continuing education of his sons' Ryan and Nathan Melahn can be made.
