He was predeceased by: his parents, Donald and Helen; his son Cameron Kraus; and his niece Elena Guzman. He is survived by: his wife Peggy Degenhart; his sons, Colin Kraus (Angie) of Denver, CO, Jeffrey Kraus (Ali Schippel) of Denver, CO and Matthew Kraus of Denver, CO; his siblings, Kenneth Kraus (Barbara) of Georgetown, Texas, Debra Sanders (Johnnie) of Racine, Kimberly Guzman (Randall) of Racine, Robert Degenhart (Mary) and Randall Degenhart (Sue); and his mother-in-law Leila Degenhart of Illinois. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.
A memorial fund has been established in his name to fund scholarships for students attending the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee, his alma mater.
