He was predeceased by: his parents, Shirley Axelson (Paulicheck) and Leonard Axelson; and his sister Lori Patton. He is survived by: his former spouse Syd Pauley; his wife Barbara Green (Carey); his children, Terri Aultman (Donald) of Columbia, MS and Steven Axelson (Lisa) of Littleton, CO; his stepchildren, Amy Fisk (Bill) of Calhan, CO, Matthew Green (Becca) of Grand Junction, CO and Elizabeth Zahm (Michael) of Logansville, GA.; his grandson Seth Axelson of Littleton; and also, Tyler Axelson (Paige) of New Castle, CO, Taylore, Garett, Evan, Logan, Amara, Eric, Alex, Olivia, Morgan and Sydney.
The family is especially grateful for the treatment and loving care he received from Dr. Gray, Dr. Call, and the ICU and Covid Ward Nurses at the Delta Hospital.
