He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, James "Bus" Wesley Abshire and Ruth Justine Bowie; his wife Barb Massey; his child Eben Abshire (Amy); his grandchildren, Westley and Hadley; his child Ivy Coryell (Andy); his grandchildren, Graysie, Hannah and Casey; his child Tyree Abshire (Stephanye); his brother Brian Abshire (Kathy); and his cousins, Danny, Tom, Susan, Don "Sandy" Stokes, Billy, Kit, Bruce Bowie and Janyne Ruth Souza. He was also cherished by his in-laws, nieces, nephews, children, and grandchildren.
A memorial service will be held on Monday, September 30th 2024 at 10:00 AM at the Martin's Mortuary (550 North Ave, Grand Junction, CO 81501).
