He was predeceased by: his parents, Winfred Doyle and Esther Lorayne Southard (Rolofson); his siblings, Janet Sue and Phil; his brothers-in-law, Bill Shaffer and Gerald Hess; his niece Lauren Southard; and his great-nephew Damion Smith.

He is survived by: his wife Nancy Suzanne Davis of Fairfax, MO.; his children, Lisa Mitchell (Tony) of Fairfax and Curtis Southard (Dana) of Wichita, KS; and his grandchildren, Tacy, Gena Mitchell, Payton, Benjamin and Jameson Southard.
