He was predeceased by: his parents, Mary Dennis and Lowell Dennis; his brothers, David Dennis and Thomas Dennis; his grandparents, Ernest, Frances Smith, Isaac and Hilda Dennis; his siblings-in-law, Marlene Dennis and Roy Barnhart; his nephew Gary Butterfield; and his great-niece Hailey Bazil Dennis.

He is survived by: his spouse Robert M. Butterfield; his brother Michael Dennis; and his sisters-in-law, Chris Dennis, Lynn Fleure, Naomi Dennis, Sylvia Dennis and Sue Barnhart. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews and great great nephews.
