She was one of four children, and was stricken with Polio at a very young age, which left her right leg 2" shorter than the other. Anne was united into marriage in Orient, Iowa on July 12, 1959 to Richard Maurice Thompson, son of Marion Edward Thompson, and wife Mildred Maxine (Keeffer) Thompson. They had two children, Richard Allen Thompson, and Tammy Anne Lindsay (Thompson). She was an active affiliated member of the following: The United Methodist Church in Creston, Iowa, Youth Fellowship in Orient, Iowa, the Eastern Star, International Toastmistress Association, Soloist at Ruth of Eastern Star Chapter in Iowa, Soloist in the United Methodist Church in Creston, Iowa, Soloist in a Professional Band called the "Blue Notes", accomplish organist, 4-H in Creston, Iowa, American Paint Horse Association, Rocky Mountain Paint Horse Association, Hi Plan Paint Horse Association, Aurora Horseman's Association, American Kennel Club, Comanche Crossing Horse Association in Strasberg, CO, and Good News Church in Broomfield, CO. Anne also managed all business aspects etc. of her and her husband's half acer lot (The Thompson Ranch) located in Stone House Farms Subdivisions in Commerce City, CO, and a 40 acer land spread located in Strasberg, CO (R & A Ranch). Her hobbies included swimming (certified lifeguard), sewing, singing, playing the Organ, gardening, fishing, camping, horseback riding, and crocheting. Anne is survived by her brother, Charles W. (Ann) Clayton; son, Richard Allen (Kim) Thompson; daughter, Tammy Anne (John) Lindsay; seven grandchildren, Jennifer Anne (Tim Bohan) Lindsay, Joshua Lindsay, Mathew (Sabrina) Mauch, Suzette (Clint) Joralmon, Chanel Thompson, Brittany (Zach) Stansbury, James Mauch; and 10 great-grandchildren. She was proceeded in death by her husband Richard Maurice Thompson; her parents, Audre Clair (A.C.) Clayton and Vida Elizabeth (Jackson) Clayton; and her two brothers, William L. and Jack A. Clayton. A memorial service will be held at 10:30am Sept. 11 at Good News Community Church, 5511 W 136th Ave, Broomfield, CO 80020, followed by a graveside service at Fort Logan National Cemetery Staging Area B at 1:30pm. A reception will be held at 3:30pm at Good News Community Church. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society or American Lung Association.
