He was predeceased by: his father Eugene "Gene" A. Hilmas; his stepmother Mayme "Mae" Hilmas (Luoma); his siblings, Dwight Hilmas, Barbara Hilmas and Gloria Jacobson; and his granddaughter Amber Hilmas.
He is survived by: his wife Barb Hilmas of Lafayette, Colorado.; his children, Natalie Jessup of Bayville, NJ, Gregory Hilmas (Tina) of Rolla, MO, Kenneth Hilmas (Tammy) of Catlettsburg, KY, Aric Hilmas (Christy) of Niwot, CO and Corey Hilmas (Elora) of Columbus, OH; his brother Dennis Hilmas of New Auburn, WI; and his grandchildren, Ian Jessup of Phoenix, AZ, Brandon Jessup of Pemberton, NJ, Ashley Hilmas of Dayton, OH, Erica Tucker (Hilmas) of Blue Springs, MO, Krista Hilmas of Cary, NC, Marissa Hilmas of Cleveland, OH, Julia Hilmas of Niwot, CO, Justin Hilmas of Niwot, CO, Corinna, Eliina and Iisak Hilmas of Columbus, OH. He is also survived by four great grandchildren.
A memorial service was held on Saturday, November 9th 2024 at 10:00 AM at the Calvary Bible Church (615 Evans St, Erie, CO 80516).
