She was predeceased by: her parents, Paul Gassman and Ella Gassman (Lobdell); her husband Dale Kitner; her son Douglas; and her siblings, Elaine Neebel (Omer), James Gassman (Ruth), Paul August Gassman Jr. and Patricia Smith (Carl).
She is survived by: her daughter Debra Mitchell (Brad) of Morrison, CO; her daughter-in-law Charlotte Kitner of Minnesota; her grandchildren, Lisa Crosby (Tom), Bret Kitner (Carrie), Amy Mitchell, Becky Olsen (Erik) and Stacy Mueller (Matt); her great grandchildren, Blake (Amy), Payten (Paige), Tyson Crosby, Dan, Joe, Linnea Fitterer, Lauren Kitner, Ian Mitchell, Erika, Becka Olsen, Lilia and Reid Mueller; her great great grandchildren, Watson and Crue; and her sister Paula Gerke (Joe) of Kent, IL. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
A memorial has been established in her memory for the Salem United Church of Christ (8491 W Salem Rd Lena, IL) and the Family Worship Center (6395 S. Clarkson St Littleton, CO 80121).
