He was predeceased by: his father Phil Ruel; his stepfather John Johnson; and his pet Sooner. He is survived by: his wife Karen Ruel; his children, Payton Ruel of Monument, Rope Ruel of Mesa, Jensen Ruel of Tecumseh and Raef Ruel; his mother Karen Ruel-Johnson of The Villages, Florida; his brother Kevin Ruel; his sister-in-law Lisa Ruel of Chicago, Illinois; and his pet Ace.
