He was predeceased by: his parents, William Buchanan and Ellen Buchanan; and his brother Philip. He is survived by: his wife Janice; his children, David (Joelle) and Anne (Mark); his grandchildren, Jeremy, Bethany, Katy, Kyle and Rachel; his great grandchild Charlotte; and his sister Karen Crowder.
