He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Richard Coomes and Mary Lou Coomes (Miller); his brothers, Scott and Mike; his wife Deb; his children, Angela, Rusty, Katie and Kelly; his granddaughter Mia; his children-in-law, Aisha, Tyler and Jonathan; his stepchildren, Caylee (Chittenden) and Mac (Chittenden); and his siblings, Richard, Patrick, Melody (Alford) and Joy. He was also cherished by many cousins, nieces, nephews, and countless friends.
In lieu of flowers, Russ has requested donations be made to Wendell Foster's Campus for Developmental Disabilities in Owensboro, KY, or St. Jude Children's Hospital.
