It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Howard R. Slavens of Monument, Colorado, born in Waverly, Illinois, who passed away on June 20, 2024, at the age of 89, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Robert Slavens and Lola Slavens; his wife Peggy; his son Daryl; and his siblings, Wallace, Joseph, Albert, John, Holland, Hallie Dain and Virginia Kessler.

He is survived by: his son Brock Slavens; and his stepchildren, Mark Brown, Lynn Crowe and Susan Budd.
